Being the music director at my station, I listen to tons of new music every week. And when I first listened to The Chauffeur, my ears perked up instantly... in a way it hadn't done in a long time. Their latest album Blue Mud does not disappoint either. The Adam Bodine Trio has a sound that is new, fresh, and classic all at the same time. Their music is exciting! Just when you think you know where they're going with a melody, they take it somewhere that makes you say... now that is what jazz is all about!

Bodine has a truly original and highly humorous compositional style. It’s really hard to describe it, other than to say he likes to constantly keep things off kilter. As a pianist Adam gets his thoughts out in a fresh and light manner. He is fleet of finger when needed and obviously has command of many different jazz performance styles.
