Andre Darius

Self-taught musician, I occasionally compose, frequently improvise, constantly experiment. With my acoustic and electric basses, whether or not prepared, I question and explore the entire realm of possible in the search of the right note, that "note" of music able to unify time and space. Since 2011, both in groups and solo situations, I seek to express and capture the present moment without any pretence and artifice. Obviously, I fail, from time to time in this quest... But it doesn't matter, because even if it's less flattering and gratifying for the ego, I do prefer the naked truth to the vain beauty.
