André Santos

André Santos is a jazz guitarist, based in Lisbon. Graduated from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, he's one of the busiest players in the portuguese jazz scene performing with bands such as HCP Jazz Orchestra, L.A. New Mainstream and Demian Cabaud 'Benespera'. He also has played with bands such as Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos feat. Julian Arguelles & Ohad Talmor; Jeffrey Davis/Marc Miralta Quartet; Sara Serpa 'Fragmentz'; Akiko Pavolka 'House of Illusion' and more.

Beyond jazz, he's also featured as guitar player for the album 'Mistério' from the worldwide famous singer Teresa Salgueiro.

His debut album 'Ponto de Partida' mixes a wide pallet of styles that goes from jazz, MPB to folk and rock.

Lisbon resident, Madeira born, guitarist Andre Santos released this energising debut collection, the appropriately titled Ponto de Partida (or 'starting point') in ...
