As a popular sideman, seven string guitarist Bob Burnett has supported among others, Doobie Brothers bassist Tiran Porter, Jazz Steel Pan player Andy Narell, World Beat stars Pele Juju, Nigerian Afro-Beat All-Star Danjuma Adamu, Kenny Stahl and children’s musician Bob Reid. Burnett was also a regular on Kid’s Clubhouse KTEH TV and has shared the stage with Emeril, Tony Curtis and Bruce Willis.
Bob also founded the band Haven Terrace which included members Jeff Ballard, Kenny Wollesen and Andy Connell. His other original project, Loops and Lines, released a CD and played the Kuumbwa Jazz Center and San Jose Jazz Festival....

The seven-string guitarist, consummate sideman and longtime local musician has just released his latest disc, When You Hear Music, which bears a thoughtful collection of varied originals, ranging from the organic smooth jazz of “New Love” to the quirky, vintage stroll of “Igor’s Swing” to the keen flute, guitar and sax solos underscored by trafficscape in “Back East.”
After having put his time in over the course of three decades as the consummate Santa Cruz working musician, he's certainly earned a place on the short list for honorary localhood.....
