Carole Troll

Carole Troll's roots are steeped in music and culture. Her mother, Ineta was a classical vocalist who graced many concert stages singing for heads of state and celebrated personalities of the day. Her father, William was the manager and golf pro for a private country club and had hoped to groom Carole to be a talented female golfer of color. Carole had other plans.... She would often sneak into the basement of their home and listen to Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday, Dakota Staton and Dinah Washington, wearing her mother's jewelry and pretending she was dressed to the nines in a fancy jazz club. Due to changes in musical tastes, Carole moved on to persue her second love...acting! She has appeared in numerous commercials from Bud Light to Ameritrade and in television shows such as Law and Order:SVU, and Ed . She has theater and film credits as well! She has won awards for jazz performances and acting and she has said that her greatest gift was that her father lived to see her performing on stage as a young performer, and that her mom lived to see her on television before she passed away in 2000. " I think they were glad they kept those jazz and blues records after all!" With the new venues that the Internet and digital downloads have introduced, Carole Troll is thrilled to have the opportunity to "go home again" with her vocal gifts. She looks forward to 2008 and the opportunities that artistic independence will provide. Carole is a member of AFTRA-SAG-AEA.

From Women's Rising Music(www.womensrising.com) It's nice to receive a cd submission with heart. Just look at her, one look and you know: she's got it. She's full of heart and soul and power from the minute you turn the cd on. Summertime, is one example from her new demo, Fine and Mellow. Hitting high notes diving down into growls and rising again. Impetuous. The second track and title track is as promises. Fine and Mellow is sultry and sassy, then ellipses into a Streisand/Broadway feel. Listen and make your own comparison. If you like jazz, you will love Troll.

From Reptor Productions, UK: "Sultry jazz vocalist Carole Troll adds her voice to classic jazz standards with attitude, smooth moves, and soaring precision!"
