Bassik Vibe
Bassik Vibe is the new group featuring the internationally known vibraphonist, Stephan Bauer and British/American bassist, Howard Britz. With over 100 years of experience between them the combination of these two great musicians produces music of extraordinary depth and subtlety, swing and groove.
Both Britz and Bauer are steeped in the Jazz tradition and Britz brings his knowledge and special feeling for Afro-Cuban music to group. Howard and Stefan are composers and band leaders and have released multiple albums under their own names.
Stefan Bauer has performed and recorded with such artists as Tim Hagans, Larry Coryell, Peter Erskine Norma Winstone, Klaus König, Mick Goodrick, Alex Dean, Jerry Fuller, Adam Nussbaum amongst many others. He has performed as a leader and sideman throughout Europe and the USA.
Howard Britz has performed or recorded with such artists as Danilo Perez, Jon Hendricks & Annie Ross, Paquito d’Rivera, Sam Rivers, John Medeski, Uri Caine, Jonathan Gee and Will Vinson. His latest solo release ‘Here I Stand’ 2008 received great reviews and his group toured the UK last year to much acclaim.
