Dominic Lalli
In 2001, Dominic recieved a scholarship to study music at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York City. There, Dominic studied with the likes of Dave Leibman, Bob Mintzer, Dick Oatts, Kenny Barron and Garry Dial. There, he began to find his own sound and his own approach to music. While in New York, Dominic had the opportunity to share the stage with many amazing artists such as Dave Leibman, Kenny Barron, Stefon Harris, Bob Mintzer, Dick Oatts, Jeff Tain Watts and Christian McBride.
While in New York, Dominic connected with well established groove outfit, The Motet, from Boulder, Colorado. Since joining the Motet, Dominic has traveled all over the US performing at various clubs, theatres and festivals, spreading his creative sound and approach to music.
Dominic is currently living in the Denver, CO area performing with the Motet and freelancing as a jazz artist. Dominic is currently finishing his debut solo record featuring Ron Miles, Greg Gizbert, Rudy Royston, Eric Gunnison and Bijoux Barbosa and will be released in 2008.
