Ed Neumeister

Performed for 15 years with Duke Ellington Orchestra, 19 years with Mel Lewis Big Band, becoming the multi Grammy-nominated Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Also performed with Jerry Garcia, Gerry Mulligan, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn, and with New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony and the San Francisco Ballet. Works extensively in Europe, including Netherlands’ Metropol Jazz Orchestra, Budapest Jazz Orchestra, was Professor of Jazz Trombone at the University of the Performing Arts, Graz Austria from 1999 - 2017. Active in film music, orchestrated for such films as Inception, Sherlock Holmes, Dark Knight and the 2012 Academy Awards.
