HILL BRIGGS PRODUCER

History:

Born in South Africa. He started playing music when he was 6 years old. He moved to England when he was 9 years old and was taught classical theory and modern music to the age of 16.

He started playing semi professionally at 14, playing with some of London's top Jazz musicians and started playing professionally at 16 as a session musician.

Instruments played:

Keyboards, piano, Hammond organ, drums, percussion, bass, electric guitar, Spanish guitar, harmonica and saxophone.

Songwriter:

He is a songwriter and has a catalogue of songs that have been released commercially including film and TV music IE. “Shebaz Greatest Treasures” Zanzibar production, Various works, Sony BMG.

Producer:

As well as working as a session musician/MD he is also a Producer and is a skilled sound engineer.

Artist's worked with:

Nanette Welman (co wrote, produced and played on album), Sam Brown (playing the single ”Stop” and touring). Recorded, co wrote, and produced a Jazz album with Chris Mack. Recorded produced, and toured with Rick Lee, Ten years After, Frankie Miller, Co musical director, playing keyboards for TV series Saturday Night Live. Played with Courtney Pine, Sunny Curtis, Bobby Womack, John Parr, Sinitta, Chris Farlow, John Coghlan Diesel (ex Status Quo). Rod Argent, Paul Jones, Bernie Marsden - White Snake, toured with Errol Brown,

Co wrote, co produced and toured with Mick Taylor- ex Rolling Stones.

He released his solo Album in 2005 ALBUM REVIEW, and his new album "DON'T STOP ME NOW" in 2009 ALBUM REVIEW

Now he has put together a new band to start playing live. The music is all original composed by Hill. He has recently finished recording the new album.

He currently works with established artists as a producer and sometimes co writer. Also develops and produces signed and unsigned artists with in his company.

The single features Briggs on vocals and Dona Gardier (James Taylor quartet) on backing vocals. Briggs wrote all the music and played all the instruments live. The lyrics were written by Dusty and Jill Miller.

Multi-instrumentalist Hill Briggs has just released his long awaited album “Don’t Stop me Now”, which features an array of critically acclaimed musicians and vocalists that makes this album deserving of top slot in the rack. Briggs has produced this album with such panache that you cannot help but feel a part of what he is trying to accomplish here. It’s almost a life's work of playing, writing and performing that makes you feel that you are a part of it and that it was written especially for you, the listener. It’s not the usual run of the mill jazz that you would expect from a musician of Briggs’ caliber, but more of a statement of commitment which takes multi-tasking to the extreme and that has a feel like a jazz/fusion genre all of its own.
