Javier García
Javier García (Buenos Aires, 1969).He began to play the guitar in a self-taught way at age 13.Then, he conducted formal studies in various areas with the following teachers:Ricardo Pellican (1986/87): jazz guitarSergio Liszeswski (1987/88): guitar & harmonyWalter Malosetti Superior Jazz School (1989/90): jazz guitarFrancisco Rivero (1990/99): harmony, improvisation & composition. He attended different workshops, including especially "Music & Technology Course" taught by Pedro Aznar, which was an important trigger and motivation for the use of different technology elements applied to musical creativity both live and in the recording studio . Javier García is a Guitar, Harmony and Improvisation instructor. Recently he has just published the book "Pentatonic Creative Ideas". He is currently preparing two next edition teaching books. Leader of numerous projects as a composer and also a participant in different creative music formations, he has played and / or recorded with the many of the most prestigious musicians of the Argentine music scene. He has a regular record activity as a soloist and with other projects. Since 2010 integrates and co-leads the electric jazz group Caseros Hollywood, a project that has already published three official albums and is regularly presented live. At the end of 2015 he published “Sudeste”, his third solo album with some of the most outstanding musicians of the Argentine scene, work very well received by the public and specialized press. Since the beginning of 2017 he is co-founder and member of the Sol y Los Terrestres project of a new Argentine song with which they have been regularly presenting different stages of Buenos Aires and interior of the province; and in parallel he participates as a guest guitarist in the neo soul group Funktom, and also with different occasional formations with prestigious colleagues. In November 2018, he released the independent ep album "En Acústico" recorded live in a duo studio with guitarist Cesar Silva. Currently, among other 2019 projects, he is recording the first work of Sol y Los Terrestres; also in the process of pre-production of a new solo work and launching the new Stomp project! with bassist Guido Martinez and drummer Mana Ginart, a new electric trio that addresses the R&B universe and its derivatives.
