CEO of Miraflores Music since 1981 and Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Marcia Migét’s performance pedigree includes multiple appearances with Carlos Santana, and legends such as Freddy Redd, Larry Ridley, Voices of Latin Rock, Jimmy Cobb, Buddy Baker, Kenny Barron, Orestes Vilato, Frank Foster, Pete Escovedo, Donald Byrd, Tyrone Hill of Sun Ra’s Arkestra, Malo, Garth Webber, Anthony Brown and the Asian American Orchestra, Carl Perazzo, Wayne Wallace’s Rhythm and Rhyme, John Santos, Babatunde Lea, David Hardiman, Harold Jones, Gabriel Manzo, Bill Ortiz, Marcos Reyes, Patrick Maier and Smackdab, Larry Vann, Kash Killion, Dartanyan Brown, Spencer Allen, Montclair Women’s Big Band, Abel Sanchez with Jorge Santana and the SF Kids, and son, drummer Jaimeo Brown to name a few. From the mid 70’s to 1980 she was a member of the notable Midwest band “Midwest Express” and had the opportunity to open for Kenny Loggins, Phoebe Snow, performing on MTV with Rickie Lee Jones.
A multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and educator, Ms. Migét performs multiple genres nationally in venues from arenas to session work. this year she's been regularly performing with the Voices of Latin Rock and Dr. Anthony Brown and the Asian American Orchestra; 2006 saw her at the Fillmore Jazz Festival with David Hardiman’s San Francisco Big Band Allstars; 2003 through 2005 with the AAJC (African American Jazz Caucus) Dance Band at the International Association of Jazz Educators' Convention; as Featured Artist in 2004 performing with the AAJC/HBCU (Historically Black Colleges' & Universities) Allstar Big Band; was the only female saxophonist with Anthony Brown and the Asian American Orchestra playing the Monterey, Stern Grove and Fillmore Jazz Festivals. She has been the featured performer with the James Cleveland Choir at the Gospel Music Workshop of America, in a 2003 AAJC Jam Session Tribute to Oscar Peterson at the Toronto International Association of Jazz Educators’ Convention. She has numerous television soundtrack credits via composer John Lawrence and Three In One Production, Inc.
Currently she is featured on a 'Live' cd with the Voices of Latin Rock. In 2007 she recorded with Dr. Anthony Brown and the Asian American Orchestra on his latest project, '10', and Rhapsodies in 2006; her last project-as-producer is Passing the Baton: the Miget-Redd Session Part 1; performed with the Northern California Lighthouse Singers 25th Anniversary conducted by Helen Stevens and Stephen Roberts. and performed with Wayne Wallace and Pete Escovedo at Vallejo’s Jazz Festival.
