A delightful adventure into the world of orchestrated jazz. The brilliant crystalline sound makes you feel as though you are seated at the Rebecca Cohn dressed to the nines and feeling super saucy! The MJO is truly one of the shows check out if you have the chance and this CD will make that option extremely difficult to resist. Canada's Maritime Jazz Orchestra has been around since at least 1996 when it released Siren's Song on the same Justin Time label. Many of the same performers are on this their latest release, certainly the principal ones of Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone and John Taylor.
