Rainer Theobald

Since 1981 I live as a saxophone/clarinet player, singer, composer and writer in Berlin.

Inspired by artists like John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Archie Shepp, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Otis Redding as well as from Bach, Mozart or Dvorak my heart beats for Soul, Funk and Jazz Music.

Live I'm playing with three bands JAMBEZI, HALLO GEN and TWO OF US. Also performing as solo saxophone player as opening act, on vernissage and exclusive events.

Working together with soul and jazz musicians as there are Kenny Martin, Lionel Haas, Mike Russell, Stephenie Coker, Carmen Jaime, Zam Johnson, John Davis, Jay Oliver, Michael Rodach, Charlson Ximenes, Eva Ventura, Paul Brody as well as with people out of the pop world like F.-J. Kruger ( Ideal ), Alphaville or Element of Crime has been big fun and inspiration to me.

In the moment we have finished HALLO GEN the new solo album “Do The Love-O-Lution” der Sungerin MIKO, well known from Neonbabies and 1.Futurologischer Kongess.
