Thom Gossage

Thom Gossage has appeared on numerous c.d. s during his career as a composer and drummer/percussionist. He also directs his critically acclaimed group Other Voices, whose fifth c.d. In Other Words is now available on Songlines recordings. He has performed in numerous improvised music settings including associations with Drew Gress, Benoit Delbecq, Tom Arthurs, Francois Houle, Dave Binney, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Ben Monder, Wolter Weirbos, Steve Swell, and Christine Jensen. His multiple collaborations with renowned musicians and his work with contemporary dance demonstrate his willingness to push the boundaries of his own artistic practice. A long term collaborator of Van Grimde Corps Secrets, Thom Gossage contributed as a composer and musical director artistic consultant on over ten dance pieces performed in Europe and North America.

Thom is currently involved in the creative musical projects of Thom Gossage Other Voices, Van Grimde Corps Secrets (Bodies in Question(s),Les Chemins de traverse), Steve Raegele’s Last century, Frank Lozano’s Mtl 4, The Miles Perkin quartet with Benoit Delbecq and Tom Arthurs, and The Eric Hove Trio.
