El Chicano made the scene in 1970 with a Gerald Wilson composition 'Viva Tirado" which garnered them with being named #1 Jazz group of the year. And went on to earn their first gold record.Have continued on over a 40yr. span to travel the world and still performing today. Just completing another tour with celebrating their 40th anniversary by peforming at the Woodstock West Fest in San Francisco that was also a 40yr. anniversary . Always being hailed by fans "Viva El Chicano" and they truly have still going strong !
