The winners of the ”Young Jazz Competition” releases new recording.

Exil is a danish band with internation line-up and is now ready with their new release ”Porntip”

Four young musicians with a strong personality is here being united through original material and collectively they succeed in making both the minimastic as well as the complex music an interesting experience for the listener. Besides winning the danish jazzunion’s “Young Jazz Competition” 2007 Exil has received much positive notice in the national media.

With their constant search for new ways, they make both the minimalistic and the more complex music an intense and interesting experience for the listener. With as different sources of inspiration as a.o. Radiohead, Kurt Rosenwinkel and John Coltrane, they succeed in creating their own unique sound. The groups members have roots in Luxembourg, Sweden, America and Denmark and hooked up in 2006 in the Copenhagen music-environment.

”Porntip” is recorded by Thomas Vang i Studio Menudio and contains 9 original compositions all written by the members of EXIL.
