Biography - dates - Sigi Feigl

Studies:

Master Degrees in clarinet classic and saxophone jazz at the University of Music, Graz.

Works:

1987 - 1989 member of orchestra „Vereinigte Bühnen Wien“ (musical shows at Raimundtheater, and Theater an der Wien)

1980 - 1997: founding of „Big Band Süd“ and all time leading as artistic director.

1986 - 2003: founding of „Symphonisches Orchester Leibnitz“ and all time leading as artistic director

1989 - today: teaching at the Univesity of Music and dramatic arts, Graz. Jazzdepartment

1993 - 1996: founding and leading a private musicschool in Styria „Musikschule Sigi Feigl“

1994 & 1996: establishing a jazzcompetition for composition and arranging in Leibnitz. with Bill Holman, Bob Brookmeyer and Herb Pomeroy as a jury

1996 - today: founding and chairman of „Kultur in Leibnitz“ - cultural society in organisation of cultural events

1999 - 2003: founding and leading „Jazz Big Band Graz“ as artistic director

2002 - today: founding and leading of „HGM Jazzorkestr Zagreb“ as artistic director
