My name is Gene Black. I grew up in New Orleans, in a musical family. I play drums, and bass professionally, and some other instruments, very unprofessionally. I taught for 3 summers at the Crescent City Drum Camp, directed by Harold Brown (War), I also taught privately at a studio in New Orleans, as well as owning my own music school in Houston, TX during the year following hurricane katrina. I have taught every level from beginner to college students.
