Navarrese mystery

Emotion cannot be concealed and that is why it always ends up imposing itself
on the landscape of truth. In today’s jazz, we are often visited by artists with
their hearts projected and with many short-cuts in their heartbeats; they do not
fall short, but within a short time one ends up noticing the emptiness and
falsehood in them. By contrast, and fortunately, there are also creators who
greet us with a handshake and look us in the eye without any great fuss or noise
to detract from the main aim of the meeting: Music. This album by the tenor
saxophone player Iñaki Rodriguez has fallen into our hands, and after a first
listening one can feel that naked, complete, essential musical truth
