Jamie Reynolds

Canadian pianist and composer Jamie Reynolds moved to New York City in 2005, just a year after graduating with honors from the University of Toronto. The move to New York was prompted by a Canada Council grant to study privately with Fred Hersch. A second grant was awarded to Reynolds in 2007, which allowed him to study with Craig Taborn. Reynolds plays regularly in New York City with his own trio and his wife, singer Melissa Stylianou. He has toured the U.S., Canada and Europe with his own group and as a sideman. In summer 2012 he released his debut recording as a leader, Time With People, on the Fresh Sound, New Talent label.
