The Jazzschool Adult Big Band

Led by renowned saxophonist Dave Le Febvre (Associate Director UC Jazz Ensembles 1984-89; performed with Joe Williams and Don Ellis), The Jazzschool Adult Big Band is a stellar 18 piece ensemble with many composers, arrangers and world class soloists. The band has been going strong since 2001.

In addition to featuring classic compositions and arrangements by Thad Jones-Mel Lewis, Count Basie, Bob Brookmeyer, etc. the band features many original compositions from its members -- Dave LeFebvre, Jereld Wing, Heikki Koskinen, Jon Randall, Jeff Rzepiela, Michael Peloquin, and David Busing.

Founded in 1997, the Jazzschool is located in the historic Kress Building on the northwest corner of Shattuck and Addison streets, situated in the heart of the burgeoning Downtown Berkeley Arts District.
