Jeremy Weinglass

Jeremy Weinglass began his musical studies at the age of seven at Nueva Learning Center on a Yehudi Menuhin Scholarship for piano. As an original member of the Ragazzi Peninsula Boys' Chorus, and while attending advanced piano and theory classes at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco, Jeremy was exposed very early on to a wide spectrum of musical education. In junior high and high school he performed with jazz bands, accompanied school choirs, and was vocal and music director of several musical productions. During this time, Jeremy studied with the person he considers his most influential teacher, Thomas La Ratta, former Music Director at Notre Dame de Namur University.

After high school, Jeremy attended Notre Dame for a year with a concentration in Piano Performance. Jeremy then attended UC Santa Barbara where he had the experience of composing for and performing with singers and orchestral ensembles. He graduated from UCSB with a Bachelors of Music in Composition in 2000.

Jeremy began composing his own music and performing professionally at the age of twelve. He maintains a repertoire that encompasses a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, standards, musicals and popular selections across decades. He continuously adds to his repertoire and keeps current with the latest pop/rock hits. His strengths include working with singers as well as composing for piano and a range of orchestral instruments and voice. He also has experience in MIDI sequencing and in conducting and leading groups for big shows and performances.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Jeremy has played piano regularly at restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, weddings and all kinds of events throughout Southern California. He also plays piano regularly at Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City during the meditation that precedes the services led by Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. Jeremy has been a proud member of ISES (International Special Events Society) since 2009.

Jeremy's full length solo piano CD, Dreams, features some of his best of original music over ten years. Dreams can be heard on a variety of internet radio stations, including SKY FM, and is available on iTunes, CD Baby and numerous other online outlets. In addition to Dreams, Jeremy has 7 other solo piano CDs available for sale featuring the best of his repertoire across different genres of music! Three additional CDs will complete the set and are scheduled to be released in 2010.

Jeremy's talents have won him several awards and make him a sought-after musician to accompany other artists. Most recently in 2009, he won first place in a contest conducted by David Lanz by playing one of David’s original piano pieces flawlessly. In 2005, Jeremy was awarded Instrumentalist of the Year by LA Music Awards. He has accompanied famous artists such as Engelbert Humperdinck with whom he toured across the US and Canada in 2007 playing the string and horn parts on keyboards. Jeremy has also performed with Krassimir, an internationally known Bulgarian singer. Jeremy played keyboards in Krassimir's show, Popera, at The Kodak Theater that received rave reviews in The LA Times and other publications in May 2006. Jeremy was the keyboardist in the successful pop/rock band Ballentine who toured regularly worldwide from 2002-2008. His current band endeavor is as the band leader and keyboardist of The Paula Franceschi Band.
