Joe Giglio

Jazz guitarist/vocalist Joe Giglio lives in Manhattan, where he teaches improvisation. He performs throughout the NY/Metro area, across the U.S & abroad. He has an MFA from Purchase College, and a BA from SUNY New Paltz.

A prolific composer, with pieces featured regularly in “Just Jazz Guitar Magazine”, he is currently recording his next trio CD, and has just completed a soon to be published collection of jazz etudes, and re-harmonized standard tunes.

Guitarist Joe Giglio and saxophonist Jimmy Halperin are part of the current, albeit small, group of musicians that are keeping pianist Lennie Tristano's singular approach to improvisation alive.
