A Staff Sgt. in the Air Force Security Forces, Holliday keeps the Homestead Air Reserve Base safe during night shifts. But on weekends, he sheds his uniform for snazzy suits and matching fedoras, and trades his semi-automatic M9 pistol and M4 Carbine for a trumpet. He plays at festivals, sports events and military ceremonies.

Staff Sgt. Johnny Holliday, 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, lent his musical talents to more than 60 live events during his deployment here, which included ceremonies, holiday functions and memorial services.
Word about his talents spread like wild fire during his deployment, and he was soon asked to play at various events throughout the base. Up until that point, the sergeant was more interested in training to become an Air Force para-rescue man. Sergeant Holliday’s experiences playing for the Airmen during his deployments convinced him to pursue a career in music.

Johnny Holliday is a phenomenal musician, able to play masterfully several instruments and sing as well. His talents are such that I believe that he should probably devote his full time and energy to performing. The remarkable thing is that he doesn't do it for self aggrandizement or seeking to profit from it. He uses his craft to serve others and as a platform to transmit a positive and fruitful message.

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Johnny Holliday. In addition to being an Active Duty Military member, Mr. Holliday is a wonderfully talented and successful Jazz Artist. After listening to the work form his latest album “In The Light” There was no question… Mr. Holliday would be a great addition and representative of Marcinkiewicz Co. Mr. Holliday has an incredible work ethic, which is consistently reconfirmed by following his successful playing career.

...Recently I secured Johnny Holliday to play at multiple events centered around Air Combat Command's outstanding Airman of the Year Festivities, to include being the head-liner for the culminating banquet. Johnny Holliday stole the show and we received many kudos for a first-class event.
