Jon Powers
Jon Powers is a Colorado-based drummer. He attended the University of Denver Lamont School of Music and went on to study with Art Lande. He has played or recorded with artists including Matt Morris, Shannon Wexelberg, Ron Miles, 3ology, Sanskrit, Eveningtide, Ryan Brackin, Nate Wooley, and Brandon Vaccaro.
Currently Jon is a member of the jazz group 3ology, works regularly with Matt Morris, and continues to free-lance throughout Colorado.

Jon has been playing for over 25 years and teaching for 10+ years. He began studying privately at age 6 and has played in numerous situations including: jazz/big bands; rock groups: pop, Latin, country, blues,and gospel groups; in churches, school bands, studios and orchestras. He has studied at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music and privately with Art Lande. Jon welcomes beginning and intermediate students of all ages.
