Born: December 18, 1984
One of the most renowned young musicians from the new generation of jazz and the piano in Cuba. Pacheco is the winner of the first prize at the International Competition of Young jazz musicians (JoJazz 2007). He is a pianist, percussionist, composer and musical director.
A graduate of piano and percussion. He was a professor at the Conservatory Symphonic Timpani William Thomas. He is currently completing his 5th year studying composition at the Institute of Superior Arts in Havana where he is pursuing his masters degree.
Pacheco has shared the stage with great musicians like Bobby Carcasess, Javier Zalba, Orlando Sanchez, Haydee Milanes, Pablo Milanes, Aldo Lopez Gavilan, Harold Lopez Nusa, Rui López Nusa, Amadito Valdes, Joaquín Betancourt, Tete Caturla, (both members of the Buena Vista Social Club) Tony Perez, Alexander Abreu, Ali Jackson, Orlando Maraca Valle, Miguel Zenon, Rolando Luna, Robert Sund and Stanley Clark, among others....
