Kennan Goodman

Every time he plays a note, you have to take notice of the wonderful sound created from his horn and his soul. Kennan Goodman is everything one could hope for in a legendary trumpeter: patience, thoughtfulness, love, passion, vitality, fire, versatility, hope, goodness and courage. No challenge is too big for this modern marvel on the horn. Blessed with an authentic tone, an original approach and a melodic tapestry, Kennan’s sound immediately pays tribute to the trumpet greats Louis Armstrong, John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie and Miles Davis while both soothing and captivating the listener with a “silent storm” of beauty and tension.

His musical experiences include numerous performance opportunities in bands with many of the greatest and most renowned musicians in the world such as Jon Faddis, Lalo Schifrin, Paquito D’Rivera, Rufus Reid, Ray Bryant, Wynton Marsalis, James Moody, Paul Jeffrey, Fred Wesley, Ernestine Anderson, Tyrone Jefferson, George Cables, John Hicks, Elise Woods, Charles Tolliver, Joanne Brackeen, Jimmy Greene, Derrick Gardner, James Patterson, Sherman Irby, Phil Davis, Carla Cook, Martha High, Mor Thiam, Panama Francis, Corey Rawls, Tia Fuller and James Spaulding.
