Marc Piane
He has arranged, composed, engineered, and produced material for Quest Ensemble including arranging music for their recent production of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’. He also worked extensively on the soundtrack for Quest’s short film ‘Blue Nativity’. He has done sound designs and original compositions for productions of ‘The Jungal Book’, ‘Anna Karenina’ and several original theatre works for various companies.
Marc co-founded and co-directs Summer Lab On Stage, a musical theatre program for 5th through 8th graders, at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. He also teaches privately at the Chicago Center School of Music.
His influences range from Ray Brown and Paul Chambers to Dave Holland, Drew Gress, and Stanley Clarke.
Marc has had the chance to play some of the finest rooms in Chicago as well as touring the U.S. and Europe.
