Saxophonist and woodwinds player Alberto Pinton has been performing on the European and international jazz and improvised music scenes since the mid-eighties.
Alberto Pinton Nascent, his new band, has recently recorded a new cd of original compositions soon to be released on the Red Horn Records label.
Previous recordings featuring Alberto Pinton's compositions include the Alberto Pinton Quintet, Alberto Pinton Clear Now, Dog Out, Pinton Kullhammar Zetterberg Nordeson.
Alberto Pinton has an extensive sideman recording career with over 60 cds so far, playing on all sizes of flutes, clarinets and saxophones, although he refers to the baritone saxophone as his main instrument.
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, Boston in 1990 and with a Master's Degree in Saxophone Performance from Manhattan School of Music, New York in 1995.
Originally from Porto Marghera, Italy, he currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
