Andre Pabarciute

I study piano playing, composition, and musical theory at the local college of arts. My style in jazz vocals started forming at 2001 when I has become a pupil of Vladimir Chekasin and got an acquaintance with the world vocal jazz scene. I never take any influence without the transformations of my own, and in this manner I derived my own singing style which synthetizes all the highest achievements in the history of vocalism, interpretation and improvisation. Now I am polishing this style and simultaneously waiting for the new vistas to open because I know that this is only one of the many evolutionary steps for me.

In jazz singing now I pursue the perfect management of energy flow using advanced psychophysiological techniques, and the perfect management of a middle layer of music-making process (scathing, macro- and microphrasing, accentuation, dynamics, etc.). I love freedom which my musical fantasy offers for me, and I prefer absolutely free improvisation, but I definitely can sing any jazz.

I collaborate with Jan Maksimovich Quartet, Vladimir Chekasin, Liudas Mockunas, Vytis Nivinskas and other musicians, and have made music together (in projects or during jam-sessions) with Alex Kruglov, Alex Wilson, Stefan Pasborg, Marc Ducret, Jacob Anderskov, Nils Davidsen, etc.

I also am an academic composer and piano player, and those activities really enrich and sharpen my imagination and performance in the jazz domain.
