Dan Papirany

Dan Papirany is a Jazz pianist and composer. He is based in Bundaberg, Australia. While living in New Zealand Dan studied drums for two years with Roger Sellers and then changed his major to Piano studying with Leigh Jackson. In 1999 Dan graduated from Massey University in Wellington with a bachelor of music performance. While studying jazz piano at Massey University Dan formed his first trio and played in local venues and mainly at “Bar Bodega”. In 2002 while studying post graduate musicology at Victoria University Dan took the position of Music HOD at Hato Petera College on Auckland’s North Shore, working with Maori students teaching a curriculum based on jazz...
