I am a mainstream/traditional jazz drummer with experience than covers everything from the Hammond B-3 Duo and Acoustic Piano Trio, to Big Bands and Pops Orchestras. I have performed with Don Menza, Richie Cole, Lanny Morgan, Don Rader, Gary Burton, Scott Hamilton, Doug MacDonald, Jodie Christian, Rufus Reid, Joe Williams, Jack Jones, Buddy Greco, Jo Bell, Kitty Margolis, Judy Roberts, and Laura Taylor to name a few. I have recorded with Buddy Greco, Joe Williams, Doug MacDonald, Jo Bell, and Lanny Morgan, as well as Movie, TV and Industrial dates in studios in Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. I have a trio called the “John Nasshan Trio”, am a 25yr. member of the bop quintet “Therapy”, and a founding member of the street band “Brass On The Grass”. My latest endeavor is a BeBop quintet that I founded and lead called “Quintessence”... we will be in the studio soon. Look for a release date this year. I am currently touring with Jack Jones (west coast dates only), The Larry White Band and freelancing, as well as appearing with “Quintessence”, and my trio at Las Vegas Cultural Events, Jazz Festivals and Concerts.
My “mission statement” is: It doesn't matter that we play music, what matters is that we try to take the music to the next level every time we play!
