Ken Fowser

Ken Fowser began studying the saxophone at age 12, and soon realized that his love for music was something he wanted to devote his life to. Ken grew up in South Jersey, and began formal studies with Tony Salicandro and later with Chris Farr. Ken attended the University of the Arts for 3 years, where he became a regular at the local jam sessions throughout Philadelphia at clubs like Chris' Jazz Cafe and Ortliebs Jazz Haus. In 2004 he transferred to the prestigious William Paterson University in hopes of getting a taste of the New York jazz scene. Upon graduating in 2005, Ken has returned home to the Philadelphia area. Throughout his musical studies he was fortunate enough to be able to study with such master musicians as Eric Alexander, Grant Stewart, John Swana, Ralph Bowen, and Harold Mabern. Ken can be heard performing monthly at Chris' Jazz Cafe, as well as many other venues in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area.
