The Artist, The Man
Bill Campbell is a product of the late Billy G. Densmore’s Northside High School of the Performing Arts, and graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. After college he signed as a writer with the publishing arm of Motown Records (Jobete Publishing).
His previous releases, Streets of Sohao and Jazz Colours, had favorable sales on both www.stonesilk.com and www.cdbaby.com, and their releases were covered at www.smooth-jazz.de. Several songs off Jazz Colours hit high download counts off www.iTunes.com, and the track Stick-E was a #1 jazz song on www.broadjam.com (Click here to see the listing on Broadjam.com). Bill, who received countless emails and support from fans regarding his Jazz Colours release, is also a featured artist at www.nbeatmusic.com.
The New Music
Bill wrote, produced, and performed all the tracks on Ornate at Bill’s Stonesilk Studio and Dezz Records in Atlanta, GA, with the exceptions of “Typical Magic”, “Midnight Whisper” and “2 Cool 4 the Room”, which have vocals including Tonya Attaway, and “Misguided Repetition” featuring rap elements by Langston Blues. Ornate signifies the next step in Bill’s evolution as a musician and artist, and he is keen to win over a new group of supporters, as well as welcome back old fans, with his latest effort.
