Mr. Ford received training from various members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra....he moved on to join the African American Philharmonic Orchestra where he was soon promoted to Concert Master. While with the AAPO, Ken was chosen to perform w/ The Late Barry White & The Love Unlimited Orchestra.
Mr. Ford has played in a myriad of concerts and venues...including opening performance for Will Downing / Frankie Beverly & Maze @ The Atlanta Civic Center....Kirk Whalum @ The Robert Furst Center.....Lalah Hathaway @ Centennial Olympic Park.....24th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival......Omaha Riverfront Jazz & Blues Festival.....DeKalb Jazz and R&B Series.......14th Annual Montreaux Music Festival.....and many more
Mr. Ford is the first instrumentalist to be a featured performer in the 58 years of the Annual Lighting of the Great Tree @ Macy's Live Televised Christmas Special in Atlanta.
Mr. Ford has performed on television's nationally broadcasted “VH-1 Storytellers” w/ Jean Wyclef....The highly acclaimed annual Trumpet Awards, The National Anthem @ Philips Arena for the Atlanta Hawks as well as The Georgia Dome for the Atlanta Falcons. He has shared the stage with artists Roy Ayers, Najee, Michael Franks, Alex Bugnon, Howard Hewett, Miki Howard, and Jonathan Butler to name a few.
