A contemporary collection of styles reminiscent of Louis Armstrong, Bix Biderbecke, Rafael Mendez, Miles Davis & other influences. Not played as a mimic, but more directed to those artists and what they might interpret recording this material in a contemporary setting. All selections and arrangements were written with a (hopefully) uplifting and new approach to styles that might be reminiscent but certainly mature in concept. Erik Satie has been a musician his entire life from an early beginning in Washington DC area, Houston, Hollywood, & now residing in Denver.
