I first started learning to play guitar in 1989, taking classical guitar with Dave King in Cornwall. The Blues was really my first love - Elmore James, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters and Clapton took me somewhere I'd never heard before...
...But then I was introduced to John McLaughlin, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Shakti and so on. I've not looked back since! It opened up new and decidedly unfamiliar sounds to me and led me to to Miles, Sco and way beyond.
