Born and raised in Texas, Frank LoCrasto has been hailed by the New York Times as a pianist-composer of modernity and promise. After moving to New York in 2001 to attend the New School, he went on to work as a side man with jazz musicians such as Pat Martino, Greg Osby, and Jeremy Pelt. His latest release, El Dorado, recorded in his basement apartment in Brooklyn, is layered with vintage synthesizers and old timey pianos. Frank is also a member of Rumblefoot, Breastfist, Yost, and plays regularly with Kat Edmonson and James Iha.
A few influences include Raymond Scott, Brian Eno, Ennio Morricone, and Kraftwerk.
