Originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, double bassist Patrick Reid made the move to Montreal in the fall of 2001 after being accepted into the renowned jazz performance program at McGill University. Over the course of his degree Pat studied with musicians such as Remi Bolduc, Kelsley Grant and Joe Sullivan before graduating with high distinction in 2005. In 2004, he was selected to attend the Banff Centre’s International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music where he had the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s finest jazz artists including Dave Douglas, Mark Feldman, Bill Frisell, Clarence Penn and Mark Turner...
