I was born in Trivero, Italy in 1969. I started to study electric bass in Milan, with Flavio Piantoni and Enzo lo Greco. I studied double bass, composition and jazz improvisation with Paolino Dalla Porta.I studied Jazz double bass at E.S.M.A.E. University in Oporto (Portugal) finishing my degree in 2006. I started my professional activity as a musician in 1990, in different clubs in the North of Italy. I played in Dubai with \” Four Winds Quartet \” and also worked with the American singer Trisha Smith. In March 1996 I participated in the \”young musician Jazz contest\” in Krakow (Poland) and at the same year, I recorded with the group \” Consorzio Acqua Potabile \”. Since June 1996 I\'m working in Portugal with different groups and artists such as: Ficções, Laurent Filipe, Greg Moore, Eddie Goltz, Maria Viana, Silvia Nazário, Gabriel Godoi, António Palma, Mark Holen, Melissa Walker, Fernando Tordo, Ruben Alves, Amélia Muge, Jacinta & Michael Bluestein, Ala dos Namorados, Joel Xavier etc. In 1997 I participated at the jazz workshop \” jazz em Agosto \” directed by Phil Markowitz, Ed Neumeister and Arnie Lawrence. In 2000 participated at Double Bass master class conducted by William Parker. In 2003 I participated at master class oriented by Peter Erskine. I played In Avignon (France) and Oeiras Jazz Fest with the Ruben Alves Quintet, Porto 2001 Festival, Culturgest, Vigo (Spain) Music Fest with Laurent Filipe; 6º Matosinhos Jazz, Aula Magna, 2º Curitiba (Brazil) Jazz Fest and \” 7 sois 7 luas \” Music Festival with Ficções, Sintra \” As Grandes Damas do Jazz\”, Gaia Blues Festival, Aveiro 2003 Music Fest with Jacinta, 2003 Lagoa Jazz Festival with Melissa Walker and António Palma Trio, Festival \” Il Portogallo \” Catania (Italy) with Amélia Muge. 9º Festival Jazz aux Oudayas (Moroccos) with guitarist Joel Xavier. Mafra Cultural Summer 2004 with Joel Xavier and Didier Lockwood. 4º Portalegre Jazz Fest with Ficções, 17th Macao Arts Festival with Ala dos Namorados and The Chinese Macao Orquestra. CompoJazz 2007 with Ficções, French-Portuguese Institute and OndaJazz Club with Jean Pierre Como Quartet. I teach Jazz Double Bass, eléctric bass and Jazz ensemble at the \”Academia de Amadores de Música\” in Lisbon. Currently I play with the band Ala dos Namorados and working in my solo project. I play exclusively Jp Custom Guitars Basses and I use only Genz Benz and Ashdown Amps and Speakers.
