The Jump City Jazz Orchestra is comprised of eighteen of the Delaware Valley's finest musicians and vocalists. Since its founding in 1994 under the name Audubon Jazz Explosion, the Jump City Jazz Orchestra has delighted audiences of all sizes with its entertaining and exciting performances of the 20th Century's greatest music.
With a repertoire of hundreds of songs, JCJO faithfully recreates the magic and excitement of over seventy years of big band and swing music. Our roots take us back to the traditional big band sounds of the World War II-era bands like Glenn Miller and Woody Herman. Our development expands our horizons through the concert pieces popularized by the Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich and Stan Kenton Orchestras. Our energy brings us to the modern-day jump swing sound of the Brian Setzer Orchestra and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.. Our Style leads us to the vocal classics of the Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Louis Prima and Ray Charles.

The nineteen-piece ensemble...is tidy and proficient, and...the music is...well-played.
