Lee Jones is a young British Nu-Jazz/Americana guitarist and composer. He has performed at a number of UK jazz clubs and festivals in recent years; appearing in Jazzwise magazine on several occasions. Lee has also performed as a sideman with American bassist/actor Tom Hill and The Straitjackets and recently as a special guest with guitar virtuoso Martin Taylor MBE at the Pizza Express, London. Winner of Jazz Fm’s “Best New Instrumentalist” award, Lee Jones completed the BMus Jazz (Hons) course at Birmingham Conservatoire in 2007. His debut album “Swish” featured widely throught the jazz media and on radio in the UK and North America. Lee is currently touring the UK, teaching guitar for various colleges and recording a new album for 2010 release with former WEA producer Simon Tittley. Certainly the most exciting young prospect I've heard in years. With the right breaks and in the right company he's sure to become one of the greats.
