George Walker Petit performs on guitar with both his trio and his larger group. In the studio he also plays bass, percussion, keyboards and sings. Petit composes and arranges for his live groups and in the studio for all instruments.

The current trio includes long-time friend and drummer (15 years) Mark Dodge and bassist David Ambrosio.
He has been recorded on many projects as a sideman and has recently finished his second, self-produced and engineered release as a composer/performer/leader. This new project, which brings together influences from Metheny to Djavan to Jobim to Steely Dan was entirely recorded and mixed by Petit at walkerecordings jazz in New York City. Mastered by Emily Lazar at The Lodge, it includes performances by some great New York musicians...Mark Dodge, David Ambrosio, Justin Flynn, Whitney Ashe, Arthur Dutra and Steve Hass.
