Guitarist Ben McDonnell has been based in London since he graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2004. In that time Ben has performed and recorded for countless bands and venues. He has performed all over the world as far afield as Asia with Mongolian star Naran in Ulan-Bator, Mongolia, but also closer to home in numerous clubs and bars as well as more notable venues such as the Royal Albert Hall. In addition to playing and composing for his own band Aleph Trio with Ben Bastin and Chris Packham, Ben also plays with the Jeremy Lyons Quartet, pop act Glass Pear and singer Neil Vezina.
Ben teaches guitar at Blackheath Conservatoire of the Arts and Haverstock School. Ben also runs Pocket Tiger Records and has written a book to help students practise the guitar.
Ben is also the only person (as far as he knows) fool enough to take a guitar to Everest base camp.. you can read about it on Fenders website!
