2012 The orchestral piece ”The Painter” by Anna-Lena Laurin with Anders Bergcrantz as trumpet soloist, is recorded for upcoming CD release. Anders Bergcrantz Quartet w/Adam Nussbaum performes at Montmartre, Copenhagen. Performing with The Richie Beirach European Quintet in Germany. Playing with The Lionel Hampton All Star Big Band in Italy. Recording a duo CD together with pianist Jan Lundgren for release early 2013. The Anders Bergcrantz Quintet feat. Billy Harper & Victor Lewis playing at the Ystad Jazz Festival.
2011 Anders Bergcrantz Quartet w/Victor Lewis performing at Montmartre, Copenhagen. Performing as soloist in Anna-Lena Laurin’s orchestral work ”The Painter” in Uppsala, Sweden. Anders Bergcrantz Quartet touring in Mexico and playing for 10.000 people in Mexico City. As a member of drummer legend, Ed Thigpen’s last band, Anders is performing tribute/memorial concerts for Ed with the the remaining band. The highly successful world premiere of Anna-Lena Laurin’s orchestral work ”Iphigenia” takes place at Konserthuset in Stockholm with Royal Stockholm Symphony Orchestra. Anders is together with piano legend, Richie Beirach, soloist in the piece. The concert is is filmed and part of a documentary about Anna-Lena Laurin and broadcasted on Swedish Telivision. 2010 Performing at the grand opening of Jazz Club Montmartre, Copenhagen w/Jeff ”Tain” Watts a.o. Anders Bergcrantz Quintet w/Ron McClure and Victor Lewis performing in NYC. Touring all over Europe as band leader or featured soloist. The world premiere of Anna-Lena Laurin’s orchestral work ”Iphigenia” with Anders as soloist takes place in Umeå, Sweden. Performing in Portugal and Monaco with the Lionel Hampton All Star Big Band.
2009 Receiving the French/Swedish jazz award ”Django d’Or” in the category; Contemporary Star of Jazz. Touring with Anders Bergcrantz Quartet feat. Richie Beirach. Forming and touring with a quintet together w/Jonas Kullhammar, Bobo Stenson, Palle Danielsson & Victor Lewis. Performing with the CTI All Stars including artists like Airto, Hubert Laws, Bill Evans, Mark Egan, Flora Purim, Russell Malone, Niels Lan Doky a.o.
2008 Receiving 3 jazz awards! 1: ”The Golden Record” for best record of the year. 2: ”The Jazzcat” jazzmusician of the year 3: Anders Bergcrantz latest release About Time” voted ”Best record of the year” by Swedish Radio’s listeners.
2007 Visiting England and Scotland several times this year for performing, teaching (at the Trinity College of Music, Guildhall College and The Royal Academy of Music) and recording. Joining The Ed Thigpen Quintet. Touring and recording with the Anders Bergcrantz Quintet. New CD About Time” released in October and reaches no 1 at the “Critics top list” in Sweden, all categories.
2006 Anders Bergcrantz and Joe Locke featured artists with Bohuslän Big Band Performing with The Tolvan Big Band as featured soloist. Working regularly with the Anders Bergcrantz Quintet in Sweden and Denmark
2005 Performing at the Rochester Int. Jazzfestival with the Anders Bergcrantz Quartet. Visiting different clubs, concert halls and other venues all over, plus doing with various recording/radio sessions
2004 Performing with US tenor star Billy Harper and drum legend Billy Hart round Scandinavia. Performing with Billy Harper�'s own Quintet
2002-03 Forming my new septet: The ANDERS BERGCRANTZ ORCHESTRA. Performing with great success at the Stockholm Jazzfestival among other places

1999 Performing with own quartet on two conserts in London at the 'Swedish Jazz Extravaganza' Febr. 1999. Performing at the GREIFSWALD musicfestival. Performing with classical trumpetsoloist; Håkan Hardenberger �� a beautiful consert specially written for the two trumpeters, big choir plus rhythm section by composer and artist Anna-Lena Laurin. 6th album '24 hours' is released and is receiving extremely good reviews in Sweden and internationally. This record contains two suites of mine and also features my father Sven Bergcrantz on two of his own compositions.
1998 Invited to Minneapolis to play as guestsoloist with american rythmsection. Playing festivals in Israel, Russia etc Performing with famous jazz legend Benny Golson in Italian summer jazzfestival.
1997 The CD 'C' is released and the reaction in the press and by listeners are overwhelming
1996 'IN THIS TOGETHER' is awarded 'Gyllene Skivan' meaning 'Album of the Year'. Recorded/Toured with the Caecilie Norby Quintet three weeks in Japan at the BLUE NOTE jazzclubs. Nominated for the NORDIC CULTURE PRIZE.
1995 'IN THIS TOGETHER' is released and is receiving extremely good reviews in Sweden and internationally.
1994 Playing at SWEET BASIL, NYC, for the 4th time and recording my 4th album; 'IN THIS TOGETHER' live with my quartet - Richie Beirach, Ron McClure and Adam Nussbaum for Dragon Rec.

1986- Working a lot as guest soloist in different constellations, home and abroad. Guest teaching in different countries. With Dave Liebman and Richie Beirach in Ireland for instance. Touring with Mike Brecker and the Tolvan band. Recording my second LP; 'TOUCH' A. Bergcrantz Quintet, for Dragon Records. Great reviews, also internationally. Touring a lot in Europe. Recording with Dave Liebman and also sitting in many times with his band; QUEST.

1976 Got my first trumpet from my father and older brother. Taking a few lessons from trumpeter, Tim Hagans.
