Jon-Paul Frappier has worked with top names like Aretha Franklin, Destiny's Child, Michael Stewart and Alicia Keys. J.P. is a native Detroiter and is now calling Nashville home. Jon-Paul is a versatile jazz and commercial player, as well as an arranger, and composer. In a almost 20 year career he's had several TV appearances include HBO's “Comic Relief,” appeared in NBC's “Go For It” musical series and West Side Story.Jon-Paul has performed over the years with with: Dwele, Aretha Franklin, Destiny's Child, Roy Hargrove, Marcus Belgrave, James Carter, Ellis Marsalis, Luther Allison, Dennis Coffey, The Temptations, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Room Full Of Blues, The Contours, Carl Craig, Kid Rock, Jeff Coffin, Chuck Findlay, The Machito Orchestra, Jerry Gonzalez and the list goes on. Jon-Paul has performed in over 25 countries including a concert for Pope John Paul II. Jon-Paul works regularly as lead trumpeter and soloist with “The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker.” Some recent recordings include; Marc Broussard, Benita Washington, Old Union and Will Champlin.
