JJ Soul Band

JJ SOUL BAND is named after an Englishman, JJ Soul. When living in Iceland he met Icelandic songwriter Ingvi Thor Kormaksson and together they founded the group in 1993. Their first self-produced CD from 1994, 'HUNGRY FOR NEWS' contains music and lyrics written by Kormaksson & Soul, as does their second CD, 'CITY LIFE' (1997). Both CD's received excellent reviews from critics. The band’s music has been loosely defined as blues-(con)fusion but the guys dip into various styles of musical experience; samba, swing, R&B, funk etc. JJ Soul Band’s latest CD (2003) is “REACH FOR THE SKY”, available at www.amazon.com, www.theorchard.com, www.skifan.is, www.cduniverse.com. JJ Soul Band is now working on their 4th CD, “BRIGHT LIGHTS” which hopefully will be out in March 2008.
