Dave Kain studied at Berklee College Of Music, SUNY Purchase, and eventually recieved his bachelor's in Jazz Performance from Five Towns College of Music. Dave has been fortunate to study with Joe carbone, Jack Wilkins, Joe Monk, Vic Juris, Jay Azzolina and John Abercrombie. He has appeared on The Classic American Guitar Show and WVOX radio twice as a featured artist. Some of Dave's composition's are about to be published in a book entitled The Jazz Guitarist's Fakebook alongside other guitarist's Sheryl Bailey, Jack Wilkins, Leni Stern, Doug Wamble, and Jesse Van Ruller.

In 2002, Dave's group released a demo entitled “The Kain Mutiny” and in 2005 the group released it's first full length album entitled “Citizen Kain”.

In December of 2007, Dave released another full length album entitled “No Pain, No Kain” featuring Matt Garrison-saxophone, Dylan Johnson-bass, Jon Cowherd-piano, and Jeff Hirshfield on drums.

The group has been performing all over the tri state area and has begun touring all over the east coast and midwest.
