Primary Instrument: Vocal

Cat Shell, a seductive songstress hailing from Boca Raton, FL, is here to bring her unique mix of jazz, blues, and acoustic soul to the listening ears of the world. Cat Shell’s music brings with it an aura of familiarity and radio-friendly artistry. Her music explores and elaborates on themes of self-exploration, personal growth, and love, all in a manner that the whole world can relate to. Cat has taken her eclectic taste in music and formulated a style that combines the sounds of the past with the present. Drawing comparisons and inspiration from artists such as Norah Jones, Nina Simone, and Peggy Lee, Cat Shell personifies cool with her retro vocals and raspy inflections. Her songs are moody, flirtatious, and introspective. Cat’s music allows you to dive into the lyrics and feel the soul of each line.

With the December 2007 launch of her debut independent release, Cat’s Outta the Bag, Cat is busy promoting her album, performing at local venues and open mics, and packaging herself to secure a respectable position in the music industry. She is interested in live performance opportunities, recording contracts, songwriting and collaborative work with other artists, and licensing her music for television and film. It Really Is the Spice of Life New Times Magazine July 5-11, 2007 (page 22)

“The mood switches to musical mingling when acoustic temptress Cat Shell takes the stage. Her voice has a bluesy, retro quality that brings all who attend into an atmosphere more typical of a Greenwich Village coffeehouse than a Fort Lauderdale Beach bar.”
