Guitarist Tony Pulizzi began his career in northern Ohio where he performed and/or recorded with artists such as Angela Bofill, Vesta Williams, Jon P Kee, Alex Ligertwood, BeBe Winans, Gerald Levert, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Pieces of a Dream, among others, while releasing 3 albums of his original material. As a bandleader he had the honor of opening up for jazz greats Allan Holdsworth and Joey Defrancesco. He was the guitarist for Cleveland Playhouse Square for many years and also served as Director for Guitar Studies at Cuyahoga Community College where he ran the Tri - C Jazz Guitar Ensemble.
Since moving to Los Angeles 2 1/2 years ago, he quickly made an impact on the local music scene. It took only a year in LA to become the house guitarist under Ray Chew on the FOX #1 hit show AMERICAN IDOL Seasons 10 and 11 !! He can also be seen on BET with the annual BET AWARDS and CELEBRATION OF GOSPEL.
Tony is very excited to be joining Natalie Cole on her recent tour and is looking forward to many more musical experiences in the future!!!!
To date, Pulizzi has released three albums - the first, an original jazz-progressive rock project, Looking Back with full band, an instrumental guitar trio CD The Blue Wrinkle,and a solo guitar album Pleasantview Place. You are going to see Pulizzi take center stage of many a musical frontier, all done exceptionally well and with his very special and personal musical vision!
